Bolshevik consolidation of power from the period of the civil war to Lenins death
During civil war one of Lenins most important decsions was to support war communism this meant communists took over all factories and this then allowed the red army to be supplied with weapons and equipment.
War communism also included requisioning of grain therefore allowing the Red army to always be supplied with food supplies throughout the civil war.However Lenin realised this was leading to famine so then introduced the Neew Economic policy which meant that small businessmen could by goods and sell it for profit and peasnats could also sell there surplus for profit
