body soul and personal identity

DUALISM- this is the theory that there exist both bodies and minds, distinct from each other but linked together in some way. There are 2 parts to a human which are a body and soul.

The use argument-

• a user differs from what is used for example i use a pen i am not a pen, i have a body but i am not a body. The soul must be us
• a human being uses his or her body
• therefore a human being must be different from the body
• a person is either a body or soul. Therefore a person must be a soul.
