There are five different blood vessels: Arteries, Arterioles, Capillaries, Venuoles and Veins

Arteries - Always carry away from the heart. Always carry oxygenated blood, except for the pulmonary artery which carries deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs. They're elastic, meaning they can accomodate to the changing volumes of the blood flow. Arteries have strong muscular walls, so that they can contract to maintain blood pressure when there is a reduction of blood flow.

Arterioles - They link arteries and capillaries. Arterioles have similar properties to artiers, however arterioles have a smalled muscular wall. This is because…
