Biological Molecules are things like carbohydrates, proteins and lipids. They are generally long and complex
Carbohydrates are made of simple sugars
- Carbohydrate molecules contain the elements carbon, oxygen and hydrogen
- Starch and glycogen are large, complex carbohydrates, which are made up of many smaller units (e.g. glucose or maltose molecules) joined together in a long chain
- Maltose (and other simple sugars e.g. glucose) go to Starch
Proteins are made up of amino acids:
- Proteins are made up of long chains of amino acids
