Biological Molecules are things like varbohydrates, lipids and proteins. They're generally long, complex molecules made up from smaller basic units.
Carbohydrates are Made up of Simple Sugars:
- Carbohydrate molecules contain the elements carbon, hydrogen and oxygen
- Starch and glycogen are large, complex carbohydrates which are made up of many smaller units (e.g. glucose or maltose molecules) joined together in a long chain
Proteins are Made Up of Amino acids
- Proteins are made up of long chains of amino acids
- They all contain carbon, nitrogen hydrogen and oxygen atoms
Lipids are Made Up of Fatty Acids and Glycerol
- Lipis (fat and oils) are built from fatty acids and glycerol
- Lipids contain…
