Name two areas of the brain and provide some extra information about each.
The cerebral cortex covers the surface of the brain. This is the region of the brain like higher cognitive functions. The cerebral cortex is divided into four lobes. The most important is the frontal cortex/lobe this is responsible for fine motor movement and thinking.

Explain the function of neurotransmitters and give two examples of neurotransmitters.
Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers. They allow information to be passed around the nervous system. The two that have the biggest impact on our behaviour are dopamine and serotonin. Dopamine is a neurotransmitters that aggresses your behaviour and serotonin is a calming influence on your behaviour.
