B2 - HOMEOSTASIS - OTHER FACTORS

Homeostasis controls:

1) Blood sugar level:

 - By providing cells with a constant supply of energy. It is also controlled by stroage and release of glucose which can also be turned into insulin to provide the body with more blood sugar when in need (e.g. diabetics)

2) Body temperature:

- (See other revision notes on body temperature controlled by Homeostasis) - 37*C for enzymes to work at their best. Controlling blood flow to skin, shivering and sweating.
