The circulatory system carries oxygen and glucose in your blood to all the bodies cells so that energy can be released through aerobic respiration/

when the heart contracts the blood is put under pressure and is sent into the arterries. this makes blood reach all around the body ensuring cells have enough glucose and oxygen for respiration. BLOOD IN THE ARTERIES IS ALWAYS UNDER PRESSURE.

blood pressure is a measure of the force of blood per unit area as it flows through the arteries in mmHg.

systolic pressure is blood pressure in arteries when hearts contracts. 

diastolic blood pressure is the pressure in your arteries when your heart relaxes

a normal blood pressure is 120/80mmHg. 

diet can increase this as too much saturated fat, sugar and salt. salt raises blood pressure whilst sat. fat can lead to build up of cholestreol in the artires forming plaques. this…
