Adhesives are used for joining materials together.

PVA - used on wood only. It is white and creamy and easy to use.

There are two types - interior and exterior. Interior will join wood as long as it doesn't get wet whereas exterior PVA can withstand the damp. however, it is more expensive.

Contact Adhesive - used for most household materials. It is very strong and is rubber based.

You need to apply it to both surfaces and keep them apart till it goes tacky - then
