Atoms are made up of PROTONS, NEUTRONS and ELECTRONS:

• The nucleus contains the protons and the neutrons, this is where most of the mass is concentrated.
• The actual size of the nucleus is super tiny compared with the rest of the atom.
• The electrons orbit the nucleus in shells
• Between the shells and the nucleus is empty space
