Co-operative

They argued that private ownership of the means of production should be supplanted by co-operatives owned by associations of workers. Robert Owen’s Lanark community was predicated on ‘co-operative labour, and frequently, co-operative sales’, it was not to be a self subsistent commune but a co-operative trading endeavour. Co-operativism is a socio-economic doctrine designed to enable communities and groups to share in achieving their common wellbeing. This sharing consists of continual, daily work in a spirit of collaboration and solidarity.
