  • The texture thickens when the tabla enters
  • Texture thickens even more in the jhalla

    • 10 beat pattern - 2 + 3 + 2 + 3
  • Use of Tihai - Idea that is repeated three times
    • Marks the end of a section

    • 16 beat pattern - 4 + 4 + 4 + 4
