Passive Transport : Osmosis

Definition : osmosis is the diffusion of water through a partially permeable membrane from a region of high water concentration (low solute concentration) to a region is lower water concentration (high solute concentration).

—> this will continue until an equilibrium is reached.
—> where the water concentration is equal on both sides of the membrane.
—> water molecules will be moving equally between the 2 solutions.
