Probability < significance level , reject H0, the result is significant

Probability > significance level , accept H0, the result is not significant

1. Establish H0 and H1

2. Decide on the significance level (one or two tailed test)

3. Collect suitable data (ensure items are independent)

4. conduct the test

5. interpret the results (reject or accept H0, is the result significant?)
