Description - Moniletherix is beaded hair- swellings and constrictions of the hairshaft. Feels bumpy when fingers are run down hairshaft.
Causes - Defect or irregular development in hair follicle when forming.
Effects - If hair weak, avoid chemical services, use restructant (conditioning treatments) to help.
Fragilitas crinium (Split ends)
Description- Individual hairs start to split at the ends into 2 or more sections, working up the hair shaft. Hair condtion will become dry on ends.
Causes- Harsh, physical or chemical treatment. Environmental. lack of trimming.
Effects - Cutting service required. Conditioning treatment will help prevent them.
Definition- Ranging from red inflamed skin to servere splitting and weeping areas. Itchy

Effects- If skin on scalp is broken you cannot carry out chemical service. But its not infectious so you can still do other services.

Effect - Salon services can be carried out but not if its fungal.
Description - Raised, dense, scar tissue and can be itchy.
Causes - Over-developed, raised, dense, scarring of the skin. Usually more common in african-type skin types.
Effect - Services can be carried out but not if its causing dicomfort to the client.
