evaluate self-fulfilling prophecy as an explanatio

lotrs of research in SFP in education , alcohol and crime

Maddon suggests that people with high-self esteem are most likely to be affected by parents predictions

Social class isn't a factor in whether parents child relationships leads to the prophecy

sociological theories link crime , labeling and SFP but they consider wider issues rather than labelling at an inidivudal level

most research is in education, teacher child relationship is special where expectations might not be the same in other relationships not recieving the same effects

problem with studying effects of labeling at an indivudal is getting false belief which is why there isn't many psychologcial studies into labeling and SFP
