Electromagnetic induction is a way of generating electricity that is used in generators and dynamos on bicycles to power the lights.
To generate the electricity, a magnet is spun inside a coil of wire. This produces a current.
To increase the amount of current produced we can:
- increase the speed at which the magnet is turning
- use a stronger magnet
- add more turns to the coil
- increase the coil area
