The Easter Rising

The Easter Rising was a significant event in Ireland during the war. It was an event where the Irish Nationalists attacked a post office in Dublin to send out a proclamation of the New Irish Republic. Then they hoped for Germany to attack Ireland and invade. However, this never happened. The English forces captured the rebels within a week. 450 were killed and 2600 were wounded. The hope for the revolution never happened.
