Viscount Lovell and the Stafford 1486- What happened
This was a minor rising in Easter 1486. Viscount Lovell had been a firm supporter of Richard III. He tried to raise a rebellion in the North riding of Yorkshire. Simultaneously, Stafford tried to raise forces against Henry in the Midlands.

Henry captured Humphrey Stafford, and executed him. His younger brother Thomas was pardoned. Lovell escaped the kings forces.

Lambert Simnel 1487- What happened
Simnel was being passed off as the earl of Warwick who had been imprisoned by Henry. In May 1487 he was crowned King Edward in Ireland. The conspiracy was put together by John de la Pole., Earl of Lincon.

Henry had the real Earl of Warwick exhibited in London.The Eal of Lincon fled tp the court of Margaret of Burgundy's court and joined Lord Lovell, where they persuaded her tp pay for a force of mercenaries to invade England.
