- The stage is a 13x13 cube with chalkboard walls which is a symbolic representation of Christopher Boone's mind, as Christopher is a very logical, methodical and intelligent person.
- All the essemble and props are on stage and they rarely come on from the wings and the set moves around Christopher as it is how he experiences it in his mind.
-The chalk symbolises that Christopher is a teacher and he is teaching us the difficulties he faces in his life and he is also teaching the audience about asperges and how it is misunderstood.
-During the train station scene the actors move in a non-naturalistic way and in all different directions to show that this is not a natural enviroment to Christopher. At times when Christopher cant handle things or is overwhelmed a loud, high pitch techno sound is heard and this reflects his discomfort which also forces us to feel discomfort.
- The voice of Christophers dad is disorted when Chrisopher is having a fit as it shows that his father is a different person than both Christopoher and we thought, because after finding out his father lied to him he can no longer trust him, and we feel differently about his father.
- Christopher uses actors as props,he sees them as objects due to his lack of social skills.
