Common uses of rocks

Chalk - is used in drugs ( medical ones ) toothpaste , to write with though this is becoming less common, in bleaches and dyes 

Limestone - in bulidings ans sculpting

Granite - kitchen work tops and in building 

These types of landscapes are also used for tourism , for example walking and sight seeing , for example visiting tors in a granite landscape or limestone pavements in a lime stone enviroment.

all of these rocks have to be extracted/ quarried and this will have effects for example goods ones to think about would be economic , social and enviromental , for example it could scar the landscape in some people's eyes and contribute heavily to pollution ( Enviromental) , but it could also provide employment in the local area( Economic)
