Trustee Model

Strengths

It is the idea that you vote for someone who you trust to make the right decision.

Weaknesses

Rarely used due to the media attention that parliament gets
Can be combined with other models on certain issues such as Labour MP Diane Abbott voting against ISIS controlled states in the Middle East

Opportunities

Can be combined with other models to produce a stronger representation of constituents views in Parliament.

Threats

Increasing use of the media has made MPs more accountable to their constituents and so they are under more pressure to deliver on the views of their constituents instead of their personal beliefs
