	Causes when hydrocarbons are burnt they will release sulfur oxide in the atmosphere. when hydrocarbons are burnt in cars they will release sulfur as well in to the atmosphere. doing this though you will use up a lot of energy.	Effects This can cause acid rain to occur winch can cause fish to die in lakes and buildings to become damaged as well as metals to corrode. we can try and reduce the amount of sulfur being released into the atmosphere by fitting cars with catalytic converts. we can therefore not use as much fossil fuels as we do to stop releasing sulfur into the atmsphere.
