The Christian response to secularisation isn’t effective

Advantages

There is only a decline in some denominations and growth in others
The church has won some cass against secular thought e.g. flight attendant
There is a lot of media attention to Christianity e.g. royal weddings
The church has tried to make itself more prominent

Disadvantages

Figures show a decline in Christianity
Cathedral worship is usually pilgrims and tourists from other countries so churches cannot claim them to be part of the church numbers of Britain
The court cases against the church show the traditional out of date views
Both groups can work together to create a better world e.g. occupy movement

Evaluation

it is easier to argue that the christian response to secularisation isn’t effective as the UK has a strong attitude against the old traditional ideas that oppress certain groups in society
