State Capitalism 1917

Advantages

- Showed Lenin's ability to quickly adapt to crisis
- The introduction of more Committees for workers showed that he was willing to give those who previously didn't have a voice- a voice
-The peasants recieved land

Disadvantages

- Opposition to his belief that centralised control was needed if Russia was to survive the harshness of WW1
- Was not helped by Brest-Litovsk in 1918

Evaluation

State Capitalism was Lenin's first step in economic control. It was basic, but kicked off his string of other plans later on
