  • Software is likely to be unreliable and low quality because this software gives users the freedom

Definition of Open Source Software: A software available to download free of charge and is available in source codeAlthough this software is economically beneficial as there is usually no fee required there is the larger issue of personal safety and security and thus some may see open source software as a a disadvantage because it is highly vulnerable to hackers and therefore puts your own personal safety at risk.
