Advantages

Younger working population
Very ethnically diverse
International cultures bring businesses to these areas

Disadvantages

More demand on schools and other services
More houses are needed
Overcrowding (especially in the inner city)
Rural areas will have a concentration of older people in need of specialised services
Migrants usually live in the most deprived areas of the city

Evaluation

Migrants (international and national) move to Birmingham usually in search of work and live in the inner city where housing is cheaper. This provides Birmingham with a young working population put the rise in population creates a demand on services.
