Coasts

Causes

  • Chemical weathering
  • Biological weathering
  • Physical/mechanical weathering

Effects

  • Rocks dissolving through carbonation
  • Plants and animals splitting rocks
  • Water freezes and expands causing cracks in the rocks

Overall summary

Acidic rain dissolves soft rocks. Animals walk over and wear away rocks. Tree/bush roots grow into the rocks and crack them. Water goes into the rocks and freezes and expands, this repeats a bunch and cracks the rocks.
