Advantages

  • A quick process to get the ideal offspring.
  • Could lead to a greater understanding of the development of embryos.
  • Could help to preserve endangered species.

Disadvantages

  • Reduces the gene pool.
  • If a population are closely related a new disease could kill them all.
  • It is possible that the clones aren't as healthy as the original ones.
  • People worry that we will be able to clone humans in the future.

Evaluation

This process is ideal to receive genetically identical offspring. However, this process is rather unmoral and having the ability to clone humans is seen as an option an individual could be cloned and live on for many years just be a different version in some sense.
