Advantages

  • easier to track up files as they are stored centrally
  • easier to perform backups
  • servers are reliable
  • easier to manage network security

Disadvantages

  • expensive to set up
  • need IT specialists to maintain the network and server
  • server dependance
  • server may become overloaded

Evaluation

Client-server networks are secure and safe for the user, however it needs specialists to maintain the server. And if the server fails the users' will lose access to their files etc.
