  • narrows the lumen of the artery.
  • restricts blood flow.
  • atheroma forms a hard plaque.
  • the plaque weakens the wall.
  • plaque may also form a blood clot.
  • blot clot lodges in coronary artery.
  • no supply of oxygen to the heart.
  • death of muscle.

  • atherosclerosis = narrowing of lumen, restricting blood flow.
  • aneurism = swelling of the wall.
  • thrombus = blood clot.
  • myocardial infarction = heart attack.
