Advantages
- Ethanol-The CO2 released when its burnt is taken in by the plant as it grows, therefore it is carbon neutral
- Biodesel-Carbon Neutral, Engines don't need to be converted and it produces less sulfur dioxide and particulates than diesel and petrol.
- Hydrogen gas-Hydrogen combines with oxygen in the air to form water, therefore it is clean.

Disadvantages
- Ethanol-Engines don't need to be converted, ethanol fuel isn't widely available,Worries that as demand increases farmers will grow crops to make ethanol instead of food-increasing food prices.
- Biodesel-Not enough to completely replace diesel, it's expensive to make, it could increase food prices like ethanol.
- Hydrogen gas-Special expensive engine needed, hydrogen isn't widely available, you still need energy from another source, hard to store hydrogen.
