        • 1547- The Vagrancy Act forced all beggars to work.
          • Ordered they should be whipped and branded.
          • Was then repealed.
    • Attitudes and beliefs
      • Divine Right- God gave power to the Kings and Queens
        • People who broke the law were challenging God.
      • Hierarchy
        • Strong belief that adults were in charge of children and men in charge of women.
      • Property
        • Richest people owned the most
        • Only wealthy people represented parliament.
        • Anyone challenging it will be severely punished.
