- GOOD
- When asked where his ship is, he says they are survivors of a terrible shipwreck; Cyclops will not think of looking for them
- Stops killing the giant, knows if they do this they will be trapped forever
- Uses the wine brought as a gift to sent the giant to sleep
- His men hide under the sheep, clever because they can escape
- Has the idea of killing Polyphemus in the eye
- Calls himself Nobody. When Polyphemus asks who killed him he says "Nobody"

- When Polyphemus asks who harmed him he says his name is Odysseus; this will lead to him having a bad reputation.
- Putting his men into danger by going in the Cyclops cave as there is no need to go
- Odysseus is only putting his men into danger because he wants gifts
- GOOD
- Asks his men to swear an oath they will not eat the cattle
