      • Derives that God exists from an a posteriori premise.
        • Based on what we can see in the universe.
    • Based on Contingency.
      • Everything comes into existence because something causes it to.
        • (Caused to exist but doesn't have to exist)
      • Chain of causes going back to the start of time.
        • Began with the creation of the universe but something must have caused it.
    • God has necessary existence therefore God must have been its first cause
