- KELLOGG-BRIAND PACT- Aug 1928 = G & 64 other nations signed, army for self defence &settle future disputes by 'peaceful means'
- ECONOMIC RECOVERY
- STRESSEMANN'S STRATEGY- Aug 1923 = President Ebert appoints Gustav Stresemann Chancellor
- RENTENMARK- Nov 1923 = new currency (based on property values) & Rentenbank (state owned bank). 1924- Reichsmark (backed by gold reserves)
- DAWES PLAN- April 1924 = Payments staged to match G capacity to pay -year 1= 1bill marks, next 4y= up to 2.5 bill -French withdrew troops from Ruhr - Reparations temporarily reduced to £50mill a year -1924-30, USA loans to G industry= $25bill
- AMERICAN LOANS- 6 years= $6bill
- THE YOUNG PLAN- Aug 1929 = payments till 1988 (further 59 years) -Reparations reduced from £6 bill to £2/1.85 bill less rep pay= lower taxes
