- Assumptions:
- Our behaviour and experience is determined by our biology.
- Our behaviour is largely controlled by the brain or the nervous system.
- Strengths:
- Supports nature side of nature-nurture debate.
- Very scientific, reliable, easy to analyse.
- Weaknesses:
- Reductionist - ignores other factors e.g. social and cognitive.
- Over simplistic - simplifies complex human behaviour and ignores influence of the environment.
