  • The sense of nostalgia for days gone by before corruption  entered the system.

        • Bribery: Both P and ** make it clear that they are both easily bribed. This is something seen when the ** exposes the bribe P received from the Potidaens and accepts 6000 drachma from P to 'keep quiet about it'
          • Lying/Trickery 'I remember when you pulled a fast one on those farmers with cutting up yer leather so it looked thicker than wot it was' - ** points out P's shoddy craftsmanship of his leather goods (this is a comment clearly aimed at Cleon who's family made leather goods) and his attempts at hiding it.
