    • A versatile and ubiquitous indefinite subject pronoun
    • It's usually used to say we, us, one or them
      • Can also be used to refer to one or more unidentified persons
    • On is always masculine and third-person singular
      • "On mange." - We are eating.
      • "On est seul." - We are alone.
    • On can be used more formally in the passive voice or for general statements
      • This is like the English "one"
      • "On doit dormir assez." - One must sleep adequately.
