    • Example:
      • "Allez-vous au restaurant ?" - Are you going to the restaurant?
      • "Oui, j'y vais" -Yes, I am going
    • You can omit "there" in English, but you can't omit "y" in French
      • "Je vais" is not a complete sentence without "y"
