- Disease
- a state of ill-health when a part / parts of the body are not functioning properly for a number of reasons, for example, accident or injury, infection or inflammation, inadequate diet, allergic reactions or congenital disorders.
- Illness
- Is a breakdown of general health and well-being.
- Example; a deficiency of a chemical in the body e.g, diabetes - insulin Example; a mental disorder or dysfunction e.g depression.

- a disturbance in physical or mental health or functions ; malady or dysfunction.
- Degenerative Disease
- a disease or illness which affects the body in such a way that it causes physical or psychological deterioration which cannot be rectified.

- Cystic Fibrosis
- a genetic disorder children. it leads to the exocrine glands becoming defective. Production of thick mucus obstructs the intestinal glands including the pancreas and the bronchi. Signs / symptoms; failure to thrive, weight loss, coughing and a gradual deterioration of the Respiratory system.It is progressive and incurable. it can be detected through the sweat test.
