What is a transient ischaemic attack (TIA)?
Where the supply of blood to the brain is tempoarily interrupted, causing a 'mini stroke'. It should be treated seriously as it's a warning sign of a proper stroke happening.

How long do the symptoms of a TIA last?
A few minutes or hours

Give five medical interventions
Brain scans, immediate access to a high quality stroke unit, stroke specialised rehab unit, surgery to repair burst blood vessels in the brain (craniotomy), anticoagulants to prevent blood clots.
Weakness or paralysis, may have to see a physiotherapist, sessions of physio to regain muscle strength & control, may have problems with understanding (brain damage).
