  • Percentage Yield
    • May not get 100% yield because
      • Reaction may be reversible
      • Some of reactant or product may be left behind in apparatus such as when filtering or pouring
      • Some reactants may react in ways different to the expected reaction (side reactions which produce by products)
      • Amount of product obtained is yield
      • % yield = actual mass of product / theoretical mass of product x 100
