- The creation story accounts for the purpose of humans, existence of good and evil and the promise of a certain future. Scientific stories do not offer these all.
- Scientific creation is considered truth due to evidence for it. Religious creation lacks this evidence. Therefore you cannot believe in something without empirical evidence.
- Creationists, literal Christians, would argue that evolution contradicts the creation story and therefore scientific versions can not work alongside religion.
- A belief in both answers all questions; e.g. the scientific creation stories answer ‘how’ the world was created and the religious stories answer ‘why’ the world was created.
- People are entitled to their own opinion and in the ever-changing world people combine viewpoints to suit their beliefs and needs. Therefore they can both be believed.
- Islamic Evolutionists believe Allah designed the process of evolution and gave life-forms intelligence to adapt to their environment. Therefore both can be believed.
- ‘It is impossible to believe in religion and scientific versions of creation’
