- 1.add a drop of water to the middle of a clean slide
- 2.cut a layer of an onion use tweezers to peel off the epidermal tissue
- 4.add a drop of iodine solution (stain) highlights objects by adding colour
- 5.place a cover slip on top, make sure there aren't any air bubbles
- 6.clip the slide you've prepared onto the stage
- 7.select lowest- powered lens and adjust the coarse adjustment knob
- 3.using tweezers place tissue into water on the slide
- 8.look down at the eyepiece and adjust focus with the fine adjustment knob to get a clear image
