- Do you know why you are on this medicine?
- Belong to a group of medicines called antimetabolites, which affect cell growth.
- NOT to be taken in pregnancy or when breast feeding
- Must not take with NSAIDS, or aspirin, as increases the toxic side effects of MT.
- May feel tired or dizzy when you first start taking this medicine, if so, avoid driving or operating machinery.
- Common side effects
- Headache
- Nausea and vomitting
- Fatigue
- Hair loss
- Sore throat
- If any side effects are noticed, contact doctor straight away
- Should not drink alcohol whilst taking this medicine
