    • The nature of God
      • JUST - he will punish and reward people fairly
        • Muslims follow His commandments so they can be rewarded with paradise
      • FAIR - treats people fairly
      • OMNIPOTENT - Allah has unlimited power
        • influences muslims to pray, worship and thank God
      • MERCIFUL - compassionate and forgiving althugh he has the power to punish
      • BENEFICENT - all loving and all good : gave humans the gift of life
        • Encourages muslims to do good, love each other and respect Gods creation

      • TRANSCENDENT - Beyond and outside of the universe
        • 'Allah is the creator of everything'
        • Worship him as the creator of the whole universe. Praise Him for that
      • TAWHID - the oneness of god, only on true god : Allah
        • Worshipping any god other than Allah is an unforgivable sin
      • IMMANENT - He is present in the world and involved in their lives.

      • FREEWILL - humans are able to make their own choices so they are responsible for their actions
        • Muslims understand that the are being tested through their choice between good and evil

      • PREDESTINATION - divine fate , God already knows or has decided what will happen
        • Understand that everything happens for a reason
        • Teaches Muslims to be modest and humble. This  is because everything that a Muslim does is by the Will of Allah

    • Life after death
      • when they die Muslims will be questioned how they lived their life by angels
      • on judgement day Allah will resurrect everyone and decide who goes to heaven and hell
        • only Allah knows when the day of judgement will come
        • The day will be signalled with the blowing of a trumpet by angel israfil.

      • Heaven
        • A reward for those who do good
          • 'For them will be gardens which beneath will rivers will flow'
      • Hell
        • a punishment for those who rejected God
          • 'Fear the fire whose fuel is men and stones'
      • Barzakh
        • designated place between hell and heaven, where the soul resides after death, and experiences its own heaven or hell, until resurrection
      • Muslims live their life in accordance to gods commands as they belivee in life after death
    • Prophet hood
      • RISALAH - god communicates to humans through prophets
      • There were thousands of prophets sent. 25 are mentioned in the quran
      • messengers are role models and demonstrates Allah's mercy to humans as they were sent as guidance
      • Adam
        • First man on Earth  and first prophet
        • God made him a companion - Eve
        • Adam and Eve were led astray by iblis and disobeyed God
          • They had to leave Heaven
            • Muslims understand that actions have consequences
        • Muslims understand how important it is not to get tempted by the world
        • Adam passed on knowledge to the rest of mankind

        • Destroyed idols and taught people to follow ONE Allah
