- Different surfaces emit and absorb differently
- Dull black surfaces emit and absorb the most heat
- Shiny light surfaces emit and absorb the least heat
- Light surfaces reflect heat rather than absorb
- Dull surfaces emit and absorb better than shiny surfaces
- A special camera called a thermogram can detect it
- If the colour of the thermogram is black, that means coolest
- The colour showing white is the hottest
