    • Hinduism is Monotheistic believing in one God (Brahman) who has many forms. Each form represents an attribute. Brahman has no single form and is present within all of us
    • The Trimurti
      • They are in charge of creation, preservation, and destruction respectively
      • They all have a female counterpart
    • Avatars of Vishnu
      • Vishnu has ten avatars of forms. The first nine have in the past done a heroic deed to save humanity
      • The tenth is yet to come. At a time in the future he will arrive on a white horse with a blazing sword and rid the world of evil
    • Ganesha
      • Ganesha is the god of wisdom and remover of obstacles
      • He  was made fro clay by Pavarti acted as a guard while she bathed
        • When Shiva arrived home he was stopped by Ganesha so Shiva chopped his head off
          • Pavarti was cross with Shiva and made him find a new head. He eventually beheaded an elephant demon and gave the head to Ganesha
      • Symbolism     Ganesha has a big head to think big and large ears to listen more, he has an axe to cut the bonds of attachment
        • Ganesha has small eyes to concentrate, one tusk - keep the good get rid of the bad
          • He also has a large stomach to digest both the good and bad in life and a trunk which is highly adaptable and versatile
