        • the conflict between the families is so deep rooted that even the servants pick fights with each other
        • repetition of 'sir' after suggests they are trying to keep it polite and not fight but they both want too
          • they want to fight but don't want to take the blame

        • fight started from survents to the cusins to the seniors & nobles
          • the fight goes all the way up - everyone is in this fight  - not only the families.

        • trying to pick a fight with Benvolio
        • repetition of hate -reveals that he is a violent character
        • juxtaposition between 'peace' & 'hate'
    • Scene 5
      • "a Montague. fetch me my rapier,[sword] boy"- Tybalt
        • instantly want to fight when sees Romeo -hot- headed
      • "that I must love a loathéd enemy" - Juliet
        • juxtaposition between 'love' and 'loathe' [hate]
          • this suggests that j is confused
        • the feud already threatens to ruin R&J's love - they are worried about being loyal to their families
    • Prologue
      • "From ancient grudge break to new mutiny" [fighting]
        • suggest this fued has been going  on for a really long time
          • the hate has built up over the years
